De-Luxe is a unique management company specialising in providing bespoke solutions for ‘direct to consumer’ projects with a well established client base including Manchester City Football Club, Bench, Ted Baker, Fila, Berghaus and many more. They are a fun and forward thinking young company that not only operate retail outlets and ‘pop-up’ stores for brands but will also organise events and develop and manage e commerce trading. De-luxe came to Fluid Creativity with the aim of completely refreshing their brand image via offline channels and on the web.

The De-Luxe team wanted something a bit different for their web presence which was to function as an online business card of sorts, with some very minimal content.

The result the team at Fluid produced is a virtual window display, that quickly shows visitors the attitude of the business and allows De-Luxe to add in new graphical elements at key points through the retail year to capture their clients imagination.

With our glorious leader being away this week so was the staff ipod with pretty much every song you can imagine on and so begun the battle of the mp3’s and let me tell you we didn’t half clash from motown classics to cheesy pop to hard core hip hop and heavy rock!

We were almost at considering no music at all when one of our lovely SEO boys Matt had a great idea to set up a playlist of last.fm where we can all add our own favourites. Check out what been playing at Fluid this afternoon.

Yesterday we came accross a great site called Adverputt that lets you have a game of crazy golf while directing you to sponsored websites. You can brand your own crazy golf hole or host your own game on your website. The creative kids at Fluid decided to do the latter and have created a mini version of the game. Play to find out what sites our holes take you to.

Here at fluid we love retro and the fading look of long lost glamour; from the boss proudly demonstrating his brand new iPad to Wayne complaining about his slightly ageing iMac,  regardless of its nature, if its retro its cool.

The term retro for myself conjours images of 80’s arcade games, and as far as I’m concerned a game is only worth playing if there is a cheat available for giving you a complete set of powers, infinite gold and as many optional extras as can fit on a screen. The result of this as you can probably guess, is that I don’t play games very often.

Probably the most famous cheat code ever incorporated into a game is the Konami code or “up up down down left right left right b a” which was written in 1985 by Kazuhisa Hashimoto, a games developer who was trying to port the arcade game “Gradius” to the NES.
