According to mashable Facebook have hit the big time pulling in an impressive 200 million active users. You’d be right to be impressed, to put that in perspective that’s 3.3 x the population of whole of the United Kingdom. Imagine having three times the population of an entire nation using your service, you’d want to be pulling in some mega monies.

Though at first glance it might sound impressive that Facebook have just announced revenue of $500 million for 2009, it only amounts to getting $2.5 from each one of your users across an entire year. That is just revenue, Facebook have to pay their staff and cover bandwidth and server maintenance.

The big question of the day; is that enough money?
