Earlier this week, Adobe had announced it had secured an agreement to get it’s Flash platform embedded into the majority of chipsets which are used by most of the major brands of TV and set-top boxes. With the first devices and applications to be ready for production in 2010, Adobe is aiming to make it easier for developers to build Flash applications to run on mobile phones, computers and TVs.

Currently Adobe have signed Netflix, Display and NY Times to develop the initial applications which will use the new chipsets. With the announcement of this agreement, developers will be able to create new exciting and interactive applications than that currently exist, including intelligent TV guides, interactive games and on-demand applications amongst other uses.
